Saniflo & Macerator Repair explained
A Saniflo or other macerator unit lets you add a toilet where no gravity drain exists. It chops the waste and pumps it away through a small pipe. That helps in a basement, a loft or an outbuilding, yet a pump with blades can fail.
Most faults come from what was flushed, since the blades cannot chop everything. Wipes, sanitary items and cotton buds can jam the blades. Worn seals, a faulty switch or a blocked valve cause many of the rest.
